Sustainability

Sustainable Industrial Solutions is the whole point.

It is in our name because it drives how we specify. Filtration sits directly in the path of a building's largest continuous energy load, which makes it one of the few maintenance decisions with a measurable carbon consequence — and many filters need never be thrown away at all.

Cleaning & Refurbishment

Not every filter needs replacing

Through our own cleaning and refurbishing system we restore many filters to like-new performance, rather than sending them to landfill and buying replacements. The filter goes back into service meeting its original specification.

Not every filter is a candidate. HEPA is not eligible, and beyond that it comes down to construction, media type, and how the filter has been loaded. There is no way to judge that from a parts list — the filter has to be inspected.

A consult starts as a phone or email conversation. Where it makes sense we may visit to collect used filters and check them for refurbishment eligibility — provided they carry no hazardous material. We do not accept filters shipped in, and we do not carry out site surveys or walkthroughs.

From there we will tell you plainly which units are worth refurbishing and which have reached the end of their life.

What refurbishment changes

  • Restored to like-new performance against the original specification
  • A fraction of the material of a new filter — far less waste to landfill
  • Lower cost per service interval than replacing every time
  • Eligibility judged by examining the filter itself — never from a parts list
  • Consult by phone or email; we may visit to collect filters to check
  • We do not accept filters shipped in
  • Filters carrying hazardous material cannot be accepted
  • HEPA filters are not eligible for refurbishment

Our approach

Two things we hold to

None of this requires a trade-off against performance. In most systems the sustainable choice and the economical choice are the same choice.

Right-sized specification

Over-specifying efficiency wastes energy just as surely as under-specifying wastes air quality. The correct MERV rating is the one your contaminant load and equipment actually call for — not the highest number available.

Refurbish before replacing

Used filtration media is a waste stream with real volume. Where a filter can be cleaned and restored to specification, that beats manufacturing and shipping a new one. Where it cannot, we plan the disposal and recycling route as part of the specification — so the question is answered before the filters arrive, not after they come out.

Measured, not claimed

Sustainability claims are easy to make and hard to verify. Where we state a saving, it comes from your own consumption data — filter counts, change intervals, and differential pressure readings recorded through the client portal. If we cannot measure it, we will not put a number on it.

Talk to us about a consult

A consult starts with a phone or email conversation. Because filters have to be examined, we may arrange to collect used filters and check them, then model the cost and waste difference against buying new.
